The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center is looking for volunteers to support a unique program through storytelling. Volunteers are needed for the My Life, My Story program where they are trained how to interview Veterans and write their story in the first person (800-1,000 words). Once the story is reviewed and approved by the Veteran, it is uploaded to their patient record which will help strengthen the relationship between patient and provider. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know Veterans and hear their amazing stories which includes their military careers, family life, education, struggles, goals, and much more.

It helps to have excellent writing and listening skills for this volunteer assignment.
