Food Pantry Volunteers Needed!

Help provide fresh and healthy food to your neighbors! Help us create a positive shopping experience for all by:

• Assist with checking in participants at the beginning of their shopping experience
• Assisting with the shopping process
• Helping shoppers load their groceries into their vehicles
• Sorting through fresh produce and/or food donations so we can ensure only the best items make it onto our shelves

NEW Fresh Food Friday Opportunities!

FFF help us reduce weekend food waste by sending items "home" to be used instead of ending up in the waste stream on Mondays. FFFs also provide a low-barrier, choice option for families to supplement their monthly Pantry visit. Volunteer roles include:

• Food Rescue: speed-sorting rescued items as they come in
• Stocker: keeps coolers, pallets, and shelves fully stocked and product moving to the shopping floor
• Shopper Services: greeting, guiding, managing queues, answering questions, being of general help on the shopping floor

Our opportunities do not require experience, include training, and are of course fun!

VEAP is open Monday - Thursday from 8 - 5 pm & Fridays 8 - 12pm. Shifts are on-site and are typically three hours in length. All volunteers ages 18 or older must complete a volunteer orientation as well as a criminal background check prior to volunteering. Youth ages 12 - 15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
