Decorating Gift Bags for Hospitalized Children

Caitlin's Smiles sends Bags of Smiles filled with arts and craft activities to hospitalized children. The "Bags" are gift bags decorated by our volunteers. Over 1,000 Bags of Smiles are delivered to children in medical facilities through our programs each month in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

We could use your help in decorating gift bags!

• Use plain paper bags with handles that will hold a school notebook and a can of Play-Doh (about 13"h x 10"w x 5"d)
• You can purchase kraft, white, or colored paper gift bags at craft stores, restaurant stores, or online suppliers.
• Make your bags BRIGHT, BOLD, SILLY, AND CHEERY.
• Make bags unisex - for either boys or girls.
• No holiday or seasonal decorations please!
• Decorate both sides of the bag.
• DO NOT SAY “GET WELL SOON”
• NO RELIGIOUS MESSAGES PLEASE
