Thank you for taking a look at our hospice volunteer opportunity. We’re always happy to hear from people who are interested in spending time with patients in Wichita area community.

Hospice volunteers provide simple companionship to patients who may be feeling lonely or isolated. Most visits are relaxed and meaningful. You might spend time:

Talking and listening to life stories

Looking through photos

Listening to music

Playing a simple game

Or just sitting quietly so someone isn’t alone

No medical experience is needed. Our hospice team takes care of all medical care. Volunteers simply offer time, presence, and kindness.

Volunteers set their own schedules and choose the patients they feel comfortable visiting. Typical visits are about one hour per week per patient.

If you’d like to learn more, we invite you to stop by the office to ask questions and fill out a volunteer application, or feel free to call the office and speak with our Volunteer Coordinator. She would be happy to tell you more about the program and what volunteering looks like.
