This internship is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit program management. The intern will support Young Mothers, Inc.’s programs by assisting with communication, coordination, and administrative tasks. Candidates with a background in case management or social work are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with program providers, participants, parents, and community partners
- Assist with planning meetings, orientations, and events
- Respond to provider questions and concerns
- Track attendance and maintain participant records
- Support expense tracking and basic data entry
- Assist with participant intake and enrollment documentation
- Process check requests for program activities (field trips, guest speakers, etc.)
- Support compliance and partner requirements
- Collaborate with the Program Committee to maintain program quality
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Excel
- Dependable and proactive
- Background in case management or social work preferred
