Meet Up Coordinator for Hike and Music Event for Young Adults with Schizophrenia

We are starting an exciting Meet Up to provide an opportunity for young adults living with schizophrenia to meet and make friends once a month, going on a hike or playing music.

We are looking for a Volunteer who will create and monitor an attractive Meet Up page, who will moderate questions about the event, and who will also email the digital poster to all NAMI branches in LA County (National Alliance for Mental Illness) and partner mental health non-profits to give an opportunity to all those that have been living in isolation because of a diagnosis, to have a safe social activity, meeting and making friends, accompanied by the therapist Carlos Duarte, who is also a musician.

One volunteer will also be needed during the event day - that lasts 1 hour - to be at the location to hand out the snack and beverage that participants will receive from Whole Mind Symphony. The volunteer will take photos of the event if participants approve and will create posts in Whole Mind Symphony's Instagram and FB pages telling nice stories about the event.
