Middle School Debate Judging Opportunity (No Experience Needed)
Descripción
Descripción
Chicago Debates is offering a stipend for judges that help support our policy debate students. The tournament will be in Portage Park. Four rounds of debates will be held from 8:45am-2:45pm. Judges may volunteer for as many shifts as they would like and do not need to be present the entire day.
Judges will enter their assigned classroom with two teams of two middle school debate students, listen to their arguments, take notes, keep track of speech times, pick a winner based on closing arguments, and provide feedback on their verbal skills.
We pay $15 per round. Previous knowledge of policy debate and the assigned debate topic are not required, we offer Policy Forum Judge Training.
