Girls and Literature is a non-profit organization devoted to improving educational opportunities for girls around the world. We believe that every girl deserves the same opportunities to receive an education, regardless of her background, and that her background should never be a barrier on her journey toward fulfilling her dreams.

Our organization donates books, provides mentorship programs, and offers a pen pal program to girls globally to help accomplish our overall mission. GAL has impacted girls in over 30 countries, particularly in areas where illiteracy is more prominent, and has reached over 5,000 girls

We are searching for someone who can manage and oversee a chapter of GAL in their own area. The Chapter Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the organization’s activities, specifically within their area. They serve under the main organization and become an extension of it. For example, they can start book drives and donate the books to local nonprofits or host read-alouds at libraries.
