Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Visitor & Reading Companion (Gresham)
Location: Gresham, OR
Commitment: Flexible, In-Person Visits
Volunteer Role: Companionship
Are you someone who enjoys meaningful conversation and connecting with others? We are seeking a caring volunteer to provide companionship to an older adult living in a residential care setting in the Gresham area.
What You'll Do:
- Visit with an older adult on a regular basis
- Engage in friendly conversation and social interaction
- Share a love of reading and discuss books and interests
- Help reduce social isolation through your presence and companionship
Volunteer Qualities:
- Friendly, patient, and reliable
- Comfortable engaging in conversation with older adults
- Interested in building a meaningful connection
- Able to visit in person
