Elara Caring Hospice is in need of compassionate volunteers who are willing to meet with our hospice patients in local nursing homes, assisted living facilities or their own homes in Defiance, OH. There are several activities that you can do with patients during your visits including: providing companionship, playing games, coloring pictures, listening to music, capturing their life story, simply sitting with them, holding their hand, and / or providing support in other ways.

This is a great, fulfilling way to give back to your community while making new memories and new friendships.

If you think you might be interested but aren't quite sure yet - no worries, schedule a time to meet with our Volunteer Coordinator to talk more about this opportunity. If you have a busy schedule (don’t we all), that’s okay! Take a leap, you won’t regret it!
