The Village League Inc. is seeking a Volunteer Life Coach specializing in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to support youth ages 8–18 in our Bronx and Queens after-school programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead age-appropriate activities that build self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience.
- Teach communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and responsible decision-making.
- Connect SEL skills to tennis, sportsmanship, and everyday life.
- Help create a positive, supportive environment and collaborate with coaches and program staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in youth development, SEL, mentoring, education, counseling, or social work.
- Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and reliability.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and follow youth safety guidelines.
Commitment: Part-time volunteer role, ideally once a week at program locations in the Bronx or Queens. Experience with the CASEL framework or youth programming is a plus.

If applicable, please include relevant certifications, training, or experience working with children and teenagers.
Selected volunteers will be contacted to discuss next steps, including scheduling, onboarding, and required youth safety screening.
