About Us.
Sahel Women English Connect (SWEC) is a grassroots initiative dedicated to empowering women and girls & youth in the Sahel and conflict-affected regions through education, vocational skills, and language learning. Our mission is to break down barriers of illiteracy and isolation by providing access education, leadership training, and digital literacy, thereby opening opportunities for social, economic, and civic participation.
SWEC envisions a world where women and girls are not only able to read, write, and communicate effectively, but also become changemakers in their communities. By equipping them with tools for self-reliance and resilience, we contribute to reducing inequalities, fostering inclusion, and strengthening democracy.
Responsibilities:
Act as SWEC ambassador in your country/region.
Represent SWEC in local youth events, forums, or advocacy spaces.
Connect with grassroots organizations, schools, and women’s groups.
Mobilize peers for campaigns and share local perspectives with the global SWEC team.
Qualifications.
Youth (18–30 years old) passionate about Education, women’s empowerment, Community & youth engagement.
Leadership or community engagement experience.
Good communication skills; ability to represent SWEC’s values.
Based in Sahel, Middle East, or Muslim-majority communities (diaspora welcome) or in any region.
