Saint Therese of Corcoran seeking Volunteers to help with Mass Escorting

Volunteers help to provide support and assistance for Saint Therese Pastoral Care Coordinator with escorting residents to and from the chapel and/or faith-based programs.

Responsibilities:

• Follow a list created by Pastoral Care which identifies residents interested in attending faith-based programs.
• Invite and escort residents to and from their neighborhood/destination of request to the chapel or location of faith-based program.
• Return residents to their desired location at program’s end.

Abilities Required

• Able to operate the elevator including use of on and off switches.
• Able to locate the resident’s name and room number to transport resident to and from destinations.
• Able to operate wheelchairs safely.
• Have a good understanding of state laws protecting vulnerable adults and reporting mandates.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Able to follow infection prevention and control procedures to minimize risk of disease transmission and maintain health and safety of residents, staff and volunteers.
• Able to stand and walk independently.
