Who we are looking for:
You are a calm, grounded presence who enjoys helping others feel comfortable in their bodies. Patient and adaptable, you know how to guide beginners through simple movements and breathing exercises. You’re confident leading a group in a supportive, non-judgmental environment and can adjust your approach to meet participants where they are.
What will you be doing:
- Lead a beginner-friendly yoga or mindfulness session focused on gentle movement and breathing
- Demonstrate simple poses and modifications suitable for all ability levels
- Create a calm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation without pressure
- Coordinate with staff to ensure pacing and group engagement
- Support youth in practicing relaxation and body awareness techniques
Why is this job needed/important:
Many youth benefit from opportunities to slow down, regulate stress, and reconnect with their bodies. This role supports emotional well-being by introducing accessible tools for mindfulness and self-regulation in a safe, structured setting.
Where: Idaho Youth Ranch Residential Center for Healing & Resilience (Caldwell)
Availability: One 2-hour session between the hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm MST; 1:00pm – 5:00pm MST (June 1–5; morning or afternoon)
To volunteer for this opportunity, you will need to be at least 18 years old.
