Are you a member of the Harford or Cecil County community? Do you want to help grow the impact of the Alzheimer's Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 3rd at Ripken Stadium? Then we need you! Join your local Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee as a member of our Event Experience team and help grow the movement to end Alzheimer's from the ground up.
We are looking for community members to assist in planning the logistics of the Walk to End Alzheimer's Harford/Cecil! Help by planning logistics for the walk and other events leading up to the walk, assisting with day of set-up, and more. This role also will help with volunteer recruitment and training the week of the event. This role is an integral part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee as the planning event is a huge undertaking.
You will receive resources and participate in an orientation to receive training on the basics of Alzheimer's disease, learn about Association programs and services, and receive an introduction to the Walk event model.
Committee meetings will generally held monthly for 30 mins, beginning in the Spring and, are held virtually.
Walk Planning Committee members are also expected to start or join a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team to raise awareness and funds. Together, we can create a memorable and moving event experience for participants.
A connection to the cause is amazing, but is not required to join our committee!
