    About the Role

    Our Recruiter will work closely with the Admin & People Team and leaders to identify, engage, and place qualified candidates in roles across the organization. Using databases, outreach campaigns, social media, and professional networks, you’ll source and connect with individuals who align with ROYO’s mission and values.

    We believe in creating a fun, family-like culture where recruiters help shape a positive, engaging environment. As a Recruiter, you’ll be at the heart of fostering that culture and ensuring every volunteer feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Help refine job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect organizational needs.
    • Research candidates and engage them in conversations about opportunities.
    • Proactively reach out to job seekers and invite them to apply for open roles.
    • Screen candidates through phone interviews and assist in the hiring process.
    • Support onboarding by helping new volunteers transition smoothly to their teams.
    • Process applications, schedule interviews, and manage hiring paperwork.
    • Prepare and submit reports, including recruitment logs and data.
    • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new recruiting methods and technique
    • Collaborate with leadership to identify current and future recruitment needs.
    • Implement efficient and effective recruiting strategies based on organizational goals and industry standards.
    • Perform related administrative or operational duties as assigned.

    What You Bring to the Role

    • Must be located in the United States.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with effective negotiation tactics.
    • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for diverse roles.
    • Proactive and independent, with the ability to take initiative.
    • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of hiring laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
    • Must prioritize tasks and work independently in the absence of supervision.
    • Operate a computer to enter necessary data on the behalf of the ROY organization. (*When assigned to do so)
    • Desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of non-profit
    • Demonstrate leadership skills
    • Engaging/responsive, and proactive communication
    • Proficient in Google Suite and open to learning new tools.
    • Adaptable, collaborative, and self-motivated
    • Establish and maintain highly professional effective working relationships with staff, candidate, and business leaders, and others encountered in the course of work
    • Use a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned groups and/or individuals
    • Must be in agreement with and committed to upholding R.O.Y Organization’s Motto Statement, and Statement of Values, as well as its stated Mission and Vision
