Family Promise of Philadelphia Board Member

The mission of Family Promise of Philadelphia (FPP) is to help families with children overcome housing instability by preventing eviction, providing shelter, and supporting long-term self-sufficiency.

If you are passionate about your community and have wondered how to help in the fight against family homelessness, here is your opportunity! FPP is seeking community members to apply to and serve on our Board of Directors or join a Board committee. Board members are the hidden engine that allows FPP's programs to function, by supporting our organization in programming, fundraising, finance, and strategic planning.

We are particularly looking for individuals with a background in any of the following:

• Accounting or Finance
• Law (Family or Housing Law)
• Fundraising/Development
• Human Resources
• Property Management

However, we are interested in hearing from any community member who is passionate about contributing to our work to keep families housed.

Our board meets once a month (the third Wednesday). Most meetings are over zoom, but we try to meet in person quarterly. Our office is in Northwest Philadelphia, however our work extends to families throughout the city.
