Opportunity to transition to paid employment based on individual performance, program growth, and available funding

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking three highly motivated Volunteer Transportation Partnerships & Launch Coordinators to help launch and expand LoopRides, our community-focused transportation program designed to reduce transportation barriers for individuals and families accessing essential services.

LoopRides will operate through a dedicated transportation technology platform and network of screened drivers who use their own vehicles. Partner organizations will have access to an administrative dashboard where authorized staff can request immediate rides, schedule future transportation, coordinate recurring rides, and manage transportation needs for the individuals they serve.

Our transportation network is being developed to support essential trips including employment, workforce training, shelter placement and relocation, housing appointments, medical care, court appearances, probation and parole obligations, food and grocery access, benefits appointments, and other critical day-to-day needs. The program will include enhanced driver screening and 24-hour operational oversight, with additional survivor-focused safety technology planned for future integration.

The three coordinators will play a direct role in bringing the program to market and developing partnerships with shelters, domestic violence organizations, reentry programs, workforce agencies, hospitals and healthcare organizations, housing providers, community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and other organizations that regularly need transportation for the people they serve.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying and developing prospective community transportation partners.
    • Conducting outreach to shelters, domestic violence programs, reentry organizations, workforce programs, healthcare organizations, housing providers, nonprofits, and government agencies.
    • Introducing organizations to the LoopRides Community Mobility Partner program.
    • Scheduling partnership meetings, platform demonstrations, and introductory calls.
    • Helping onboard organizations that want access to the partner administrative dashboard.
    • Developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective partners in our CRM.
    • Supporting outreach to coalition and association partners whose member organizations may benefit from transportation services.
    • Assisting with driver recruitment campaigns for individuals interested in driving using their own vehicles.
    • Supporting launch campaigns in new cities and states.
    • Following up with prospective organizations regarding pilots, referral partnerships, MOUs, and contracted transportation opportunities.
    • Helping develop outreach materials, email campaigns, presentations, partner packets, and community launch initiatives.
    • Gathering feedback from prospective partners about transportation needs and platform functionality.
    • Working with leadership to identify high-demand transportation needs within each market.
    • Helping track partnership development, meetings, referrals, pilot opportunities, and launch progress.

Our initial expansion will focus on Baltimore, Phoenix, Chicago, Philadelphia, Fairfax/Northern Virginia, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Memphis, and Wilmington, with plans for national expansion.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience or interest in nonprofit partnerships, community outreach, transportation, business development, social services, domestic violence or survivor services, reentry, workforce development, healthcare partnerships, government relations, sales, marketing, or program development. Experience working with shelters or community-based organizations is a plus but is not required.

Candidates should be comfortable communicating with organizational leadership, making introductory calls and emails, conducting follow-up outreach, scheduling meetings, maintaining organized records, and helping develop relationships from initial introduction through partnership.

This is an initial volunteer opportunity with the potential to transition into a paid position based on individual performance, the growth of the transportation program, organizational needs, and available funding. A transition to paid employment is not guaranteed; however, we are intentionally recruiting individuals who are interested in growing with the program as it expands.

We are looking to bring all three coordinators onboard as soon as possible as we prepare for the initial LoopRides launch.

To apply, please submit your resume along with a brief statement describing your experience with partnerships, outreach, community engagement, business development, transportation, nonprofit services, or related work and why you are interested in helping launch LoopRides.
