Manes and Motions Therapeutic Riding Center Volunteer-Horse Leader

Manes & Motions is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and adults living with physical, cognitive and/or emotional special needs through the benefits of equine-assisted services. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our affiliation with Hospital for Special Care, and as a premier accredited center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.).

Manes & Motions is seeking dedicated and compassionate community members, 14 years of age and older, who are interested in volunteering at the center. Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, spend time with horses and help others. Volunteers play an integral role in the success of our program as we would be unable to provide our services without the help and support of our volunteers. There are many volunteer roles to choose from, with the most significant need being for sidewalkers and horse leaders in the adaptive riding program.

The center operates year-round, Tuesday through Saturday (Monday-Friday in the summer). The typical volunteer commitment is one class per week, the same day and time each week for a semester.
