Land & Sea Operations Assistant Fleet Mechanic

We are seeking an automotive mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the maintenance and repair of the Land & Sea Operations fleet of motorcycles, four-wheel drive pickups/SUVs and watercraft used to train missionaries to serve safely and effectively in challenging environments.

The ideal candidate will already have at least a year's experience in automotive and/or motorcycle preventative maintenance and repair. Experience in two and four-stroke outboard engine PM and repair is a plus, but can be learned on the job.

The successful candidate will be flexible and able to rise to unexpected challenges. He or she will be expected to learn new skills and crosstrain in other areas of Land & Sea Operations as appropriate to personality and ability.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on the JAARS Waxhaw campus Land and Sea Ops training fleet.
• Expedite timely repairs as needed.
• Will report to the Land and Sea Operations Fleet Lead Mechanic.

• Previous overseas missions experience.
