Emergency Department Patient-Family Companion

Volunteers in the Adult Emergency Department

• Check in on patients to offer smiles, a listening ear, encouragement, blankets, and pillows
• Assist the movement of patients either by pushing in wheelchair or a walking escort
• Run labs from one area to another in the department
• Get, move, stock supplies where and when needed.
• Other activities as needed to support the patient experience
