Wekume means "Protect Yourself" in Luganda. We are a dynamic, volunteer-powered startup, dedicated to educating Uganda’s young adults about sexual reproductive health. Through our innovative mobile app, we break down barriers and remove the stigma surrounding topics that drastically impact your life. We put at your fingertips the information you need to make informed decisions about your sexual reproductive health.

a. How many hours a week would you be able to volunteer?

b. Are you able to volunteer in this role for at least the next four months?

c. Are you able to attend a weekly recurring meeting?

Role Overview:

The Graphics Designer will create visually compelling materials that enhance Wekume's branding and communication efforts.

Responsibilities:

1. Design graphics for the Wekume app, our social media platforms, and marketing campaigns.
2. Ensure branding consistency across all visual content.
3. Collaborate with other departments to create infographics and promotional content as needed.
4. Respond to direct messages and relevant team communications within 24 hours.
5. Attend weekly team meetings

Requirements:

1. Experience in graphic design with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.
2. A creative mindset with a strong eye for aesthetics.
3. Ability to deliver high-quality visuals within deadlines.
4. Interest in using design to promote reproductive health awareness.
5. Able to collaborate with a team on design projects when necessary.
6. Strong follow through with communication and in completing assignments.
