🌿 Direct Care Hospice Volunteers Needed

We are seeking compassionate individuals to serve as Direct Care Hospice Volunteers, offering meaningful support to patients and families during one of life’s most important journeys.

💙 About This Role

Direct care volunteers work one-on-one with hospice patients, providing companionship and emotional support. Your presence can ease feelings of loneliness, bring comfort, and enhance quality of life.

👐 Volunteer Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes or care facilities
• Provide companionship through conversation, listening, or quiet presence
• Read to patients, share music, or engage in simple activities
• Offer respite time for caregivers
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Assist with light, non-medical tasks as appropriate

🌟 What We’re Looking For

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals
• Comfortable sitting with individuals facing serious illness
• Strong listening skills and a caring presence
• Respect for privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
• Must be at least [age requirement]
• Background check and TB test required

🎓 Training Provided

No medical experience is needed. All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training covering:

• End-of-life care principles
• Communication and active listening
• Boundaries and confidentiality
• What to expect during visits
