Night of Magic Event Committee Member (Fundraising & Sponsorships)

A Moment of Magic is seeking a motivated and connected volunteer to join our Night of Magic Event Committee, supporting fundraising efforts for our signature annual rooftop gala in NYC.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising, partnerships, or brand outreach who enjoys building relationships and securing meaningful support for a mission-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and outreach to potential partners for:
  • In-kind donations (gift bag items, experiences, products)
  • Raffle and silent auction items
• Leverage personal and professional networks to secure donations
• Draft and send tailored outreach emails to brands and local businesses
• Track outreach and responses using shared tools (templates provided)
• Collaborate with the Event Committee to align outreach strategy and goals
• Help brainstorm creative partnership ideas that enhance the event experience

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, sales, partnerships, or business development
• Strong communication and outreach skills (comfortable emailing and networking)
• Organized and able to manage multiple outreach conversations
• Passion for nonprofit work, healthcare, or supporting children and families
• Based in NYC area is a plus, but not required
