Key Responsibilities
Technology Administration & Governance
- Oversee CARE’s IT roadmap, aligning systems with strategic and operational priorities.
- Provide guidance on system adoption, integration, and licensing across CARE’s technology environment.
- Support staff and volunteers in effectively using IT tools (specifically Microsoft 365) through training, documentation, and process optimization.
Core System Expertise
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Implementation and management of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint (permissions, collaboration, storage, governance).
- Business & Nonprofit Systems: Experience with HRIS, HCM, LMS, CRM, and EMS platforms to support HR, training, fundraising, donor and volunteer engagement, foster/adoption, and event management workflows.
- Donor Perfect and Constant Contact familiarity.
- Website Development & Administration: Knowledge of website design, development, and maintenance with WordPress, including themes, plugins, content updates, security, backups, and SEO best practices.
- Ensure systems and the website are user-friendly, secure, integrated, and aligned with CARE’s communication and outreach goals.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and record retention policies.
Data Stewardship & Reporting
- Oversee implementation of data governance standards (data inventory, access control, retention, reporting quality).
- Partner with staff to create board-ready dashboards and reports (donor engagement, foster/adoption metrics, program outcomes).
Committee & Board Leadership
- Chair the IT Committee, recruiting members with expertise in systems management, web development, CRM administration, data security, and digital operations.
- Provide quarterly IT and cyber risk updates to the board, including system status, roadmap progress, and website performance.
- Collaborate with the board to align IT and digital resources with CARE’s mission delivery.
