Heartland Hospice serves patients
who are in a difficult stage of life, and we strive to assist the entire family
with the clinical, emotional, spiritual and practical support that they need.
The burden of caregiving often taxes the caregiver; volunteers can offer much
needed support through the assistance of light housecleaning, yard work, running
errands, and meal preparation. Volunteers make their own schedule, and
typically we ask volunteers to commit to a 2-4 hour shift once or twice a month
for the duration of the patient's stay on hospice service.
Comprehensive training and support
is offered to our volunteers. Our office is in the Nora area, but we serve
families throughout Central Indiana. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or
older, and provide their own transportation.
