Organizational Context
CALEC is a small, mission-driven nonprofit organization operating without paid staff. Our work is carried out through a combination of volunteers, interns, and occasional freelance collaborators, under the guidance of our Board and President. All required tax filings are prepared and submitted by a professional tax filer. This volunteer role focuses on supporting internal financial organization, budget preparation, and board-level reporting.
Position Overview
CALEC is seeking detail-oriented and motivated volunteers to support accounting, budgeting, and financial documentation related to the organization’s 2025 budget report and filing preparation, in support of CALEC’s leadership and Board of Directors.
This role is well suited for volunteers interested in nonprofit accounting, finance, governance, or compliance, including students, early-career professionals, and experienced accountants seeking a meaningful, mission-aligned contribution.
Volunteers will not be solely responsible for financial decisions, tax filings, or compliance, and will work in coordination with CALEC’s leadership and external professionals.
