Creating Community Connections

Collaborative Community Housing Initiative(CCHI) was formed by a group of 30 plus families North of Chicago in Illinois, with the specific goal of creating a supportive community where individuals of all abilities live collectively, each determining their own path to a meaningful life.

CCHI spent 8 years collecting data, visiting inclusive living projects in other states, and working with multiple stakeholders to formulate a cutting edge project that meets the needs of our growing community.

We are happy to announce, we have aquired a 50 unit apartment building in Highland Park, IL, which will be home to 50 adults with disabilities!

To help our new 501c3 grow, we need Marketing help!

The Marketing volunteer will assist CCHI on several communications projects including but not limited to website updates, newsletters, marketing material development, social media posts, email marketing and video production. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in marketing, social media marketing and communications in a nonprofit environment (and have fun while doing it!).

Primary Goals

* Assist in monthly content calendar creation and execution, including writing social media posts and creating graphics as needed

*Assist with accumulating relevant information and building unique and interesting newsletters and PR releases

*Assist with creating marketing materials and promotional items

*Assist with photos and videos for marketing

Preferred Skills

*Solid writing skills in all mediums including social media copywriting and editing

*Proven experience working with Canva

*Advanced understanding of social media platforms including Facebook Business Suite and Instagram

*Embracing CCHI's mission and passion for inclusive living and disability rights

*Solid experience in using Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Forms

*Ability to craft powerpoint/keynote/google slides

*Ability to work with tight deadlines

*Can-do personality, open minded, willing to teach and learn new skills with patience
