Volunteer at our ReStore Call Center!

Become a Restore Call Center Volunteer!

Our donations hotline is ringing off the hook and we need your help! Volunteering in our call center would assist us in answering phone calls and returning any voicemails to better assist and guide our donors to the information that they need to be able to set up their donation pick ups! This position requires strong phone and customer service skills! We will provide training to all interested volunteers!

Responsibilities

• Answer donation hotline
• Follow donor information procedures to determine ability to pick up donations
• Provide donors with alternative solutions of the restore cannot pick up items
• Check and Return Voicemail

Requirements

• Attend the volunteer training course on (Tuesdays)
• Strong customer service skills are a must
• ability to follow detailed instructions when decerning whether or not donations meet minimum requirements requirements for pick up (involves telling donors "no", alternative solutions will be provided)
• Self-sufficient

Training

This position does require a training course provided once weekly, and then to complete at least 4 supervised shifts before being fully trained.

• For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent/guardian digitally sign our minor waiver through VolunteerHub. If that is not possible, please have the volunteer bring a signed minor waiver form with them to site. Printable versions of our minor waiver forms are available here.
• It is important to be on time and present for orientation and work assignments. Please arrive a little before your shift time to allow for check-in.
