Help Build the Founding Board of Ridgeline Care Network, Inc.
Ridgeline Care Network, Inc. (RCN) is a North Carolina-incorporated nonprofit organization established in September 2026. We are recruiting five volunteer Board Directors to help establish our founding State Delegate Council.
About RCN
RCN is a developing, entirely volunteer-operated nonprofit preparing to provide nonclinical care coordination, community resource navigation, housing and public benefits assistance, and compassionate support to individuals and families facing barriers to essential services.
Our organization is currently completing its governance and operational development. Client-facing services have not yet launched.
Board Opportunities
RCN's proposed governance structure establishes five voting State Delegate positions, representing:
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- Georgia
- Tennessee
- Virginia
Applicants residing in other states may also express interest. Under RCN's current proposed Charter, State Delegates represent designated Operating States, but residence within the represented state is not an express eligibility requirement.
Responsibilities
Volunteer directors will be expected to:
- Participate in organizational governance and strategic planning.
- Exercise independent judgment and responsible financial oversight.
- Review organizational policies, budgets, and major decisions.
- Help establish effective governance, accountability, and compliance practices.
- Participate in regular Council sessions and other meetings as necessary.
- Support the organization's charitable mission and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
We welcome applicants with experience in nonprofit administration, finance, community services, social work, healthcare administration, organizational leadership, compliance, or related fields.
Previous nonprofit board experience is helpful but not required. Candidates should demonstrate integrity, reliability, sound judgment, willingness to collaborate, and an understanding of the responsibilities of nonprofit directors.
Time Commitment and Terms
These are unpaid volunteer positions. Remote participation is contemplated.
RCN's proposed Charter provides for four regular Council sessions annually, in March, June, September, and December, with each regular session spanning seven session days. Actual meeting schedules and participation requirements will be explained during candidate discussions.
The proposed State Delegate term is four years, with a maximum of two full terms.
There is no mandatory personal donation or individual fundraising quota.
Current Organizational Status
RCN is legally incorporated in North Carolina and is in its founding organizational stage. Federal recognition of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) has not yet been obtained.
Expressions of interest do not constitute Board appointments. All appointments are subject to the applicable organizational selection process.
