Clay County- Drop Site Coordinator

Helping to mantain people's independence is the cornerstone philosophy of Meals on Wheels. Since 1974, Aging True has provided hot, nutritious meals to homebound elderly and disabled persons in Duval County. In 2019, we began deliverings meals in Clay County and are looking to expand our services in the area. Meals will be delivered from the Green Cove Springs Senior Center (604 Walnut Street, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043).

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to serve as the Meals on Wheels Drop Site Coordinator for this location. The Drop Site Coordinator serves as the primary contact person at the drop site and oversees the volunteer delivery drivers at the Green Cove Springs Senior Center. Responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling delivery driver volunteers, assisting with volunteer recruitment, and helping maintain adequate volunteer coverage with the support of Aging True staff. While this role does not require daily on-site presence, the coordinator must ensure that all meal routes are covered and deliveries are completed each day.

This is an ongoing volunteer commitment rather than a one-time or episodic opportunity. The Drop Site Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring meals are delivered safely, promptly, and with exceptional care, while providing the highest level of customer service to our clients. Volunteers must provide their own transportation.

This position also requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Level 1 background check.
