At Meals on Wheels of Loveland & Berthoud, we care about the people we serve, beyond providing them a healthy and delicious daily meal. Our clients often do not drive and can't get out much.

Because of this, they may find themselves feeling isolated and alone, and wanting some company. We created our Friends on Wheels Program to help combat this kind of social isolation.

Friends on Wheels volunteers visit once a week for an hour or two with a Meals on Wheels client who wants a visitor to chat with.

• Choose who you visit with based on your schedule, location and interests
• Get to know someone new
• Participate in simple activities you both enjoy
• Schedule at a time that works for you and the client
• Make a difference in someone's life

Volunteers with daytime availability are ideal. Men and women volunteers are needed. Friends on Wheels volunteers do not deliver meals.
