    Research Peer Reviewer (Volunteer)

    Organization: Move Me Foundation

    Location: Remote

    Reports to: Senior Research Lead

    Time Commitment: 10–12 hours per month

    About Move Me Foundation

    Move Me Foundation is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing mental health and emotional well-being through community-informed research. We focus on practical, systems-level work designed to create sustainable, meaningful change in how communities support mental health.

    The Role

    We are seeking two Research Peer Reviewers to support our research initiatives by providing critical review and constructive feedback on mental health-related studies, reports, and research outputs. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, accuracy, and rigor of our research work.

    What You'll Do:

    • Review research papers, reports, articles, and other outputs for accuracy, methodological soundness, and alignment with research standards
    • Provide detailed, constructive feedback to research team members
    • Ensure feedback is evidence-based, objective, and adheres to ethical research guidelines
    • Collaborate with the Senior Research Coordinator and research team to refine content and methodologies
    • Stay informed on current trends and advancements in mental health research

    What We're Looking For

    Required:

    • Degree in psychology, mental health, social sciences, public health, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
    • Strong understanding of research methodologies, data analysis, and evidence-based practices in mental health
    • Prior experience reviewing research papers, articles, or reports
    • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
    • Commitment to mental health advocacy and community-based research

    Preferred:

    • Experience in education research, youth mental health, or trauma-informed approaches
    • Familiarity with peer review processes in academic or nonprofit settings
    • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctoral level) in a relevant field
