About Help for Healthcare Professionals (HHCP):

Help for Healthcare Professionals, Inc. (HHCP) is a nurse-owned, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities with health education and access to care. We support healthcare professionals and first responders across Georgia through crisis relief, education, and advocacy programs. As we enter our fifth year, HHCP is transitioning from a 100% volunteer-led organization to hiring employees as we scale.

    Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Development to join us as a volunteer. This role will involve developing and implementing fundraising strategies to help us secure the funding needed to expand our programs and support healthcare professionals and underserved communities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Collaborate with HHCP's leadership to create and execute comprehensive fundraising plans, including annual giving campaigns, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and planned giving opportunities.
    • Grant Writing and Management: Identify, research, and apply for grants from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Assist with proposal writing, submission, and follow-up reporting.
    • Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Build and nurture relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations to ensure continued engagement and support.
    • Fundraising Events: Support the planning and execution of virtual and in-person fundraising events to generate funds for HHCP's programs.
    • Monitor Fundraising Performance: Track and analyze fundraising activities and campaign performance, providing insights for improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or donor relations within a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
    • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Passion for HHCP’s mission and the desire to make a meaningful impact.

    Why Volunteer with Us?

    • Flexible Commitment: We offer flexible hours, allowing you to contribute in a way that fits your schedule.
    • Make a Difference: Help us secure funding that directly impacts healthcare professionals and underserved communities.
