    Descripción

    Established in 2009, The Auburn Farmers Market strives to be a forum for the purchase of a variety of healthy and locally grown products to the area residents. Highlighting education about healthy food choices and overall health and well-being. The Market serves as a convenient marketplace for local farmers and artisans and is a vibrant gathering place for the community to enjoy Auburn.

    Dates: Sundays, June 7th through September 20th, 2026

    Hours of operation: 10am - 3pm

    Location: Les Gove Park, 1140 Auburn Way S, Auburn, WA 98002

    Primary Duties

    The Auburn Farmers Market is looking for volunteers to help with set-up, tear-down, running the information booth, and general operations on Sundays. Volunteer hours are broken up into two shifts throughout the day.

    General tasks include:

    • Setting up and/or putting away information booth tables and yard games
    • Directing Market attendees and answering questions
    • Picking up litter around the Market site using trash grabbers
    • Taking customer counts using a clicker counter

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Ability to pass a background check completed by the City of Auburn.

    Working Conditions

    The volunteer is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The volunteer position may require walking on uneven, rocky, or rough ground. The volunteer may occasionally perform physical activities including, but not limited to, lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects; repeated walking, bending, and stooping for long periods of time. The volunteer may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
