Adult mentors (BIGs) 18 and older are matched with children 6 years of age or older at the elementary school level. Bigs meet with their little (student) one day a week for about 30-45 minutes at the child's school during a designated time by the program specialist. BIGs can help with homework, play small games, simply talk, even at times toss a ball around. BIGs are asked to commit for at least one schooh year. No outside contact with the child is required.
