Healthy Home Basket REMOTE

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Plan and purchase home health and hygiene supplies for families moving into a new home after experiencing homelessness. Able to raise or provide own funds to purchase supplies.

TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED:

2.5 Hours Including:

• + 15-minute virtual Wayne Metro Volunteer Orientation, which can be scheduled any weekday
• + 2 hours estimated to complete job duties

DUTIES:

Step 1: Collect funds for purchasing the supplies below.

Step 2: Purchase supplies:

• 1 laundry basket
• 1 container laundry soap
• 1 bottle dish soap
• 4 bath towels and 4 washcloths
• Family size each of shampoo, conditioner and body soap/wash

Optional supplies that could also be purchased:

Feminine hygiene products, products for African-American hair, deodorant

Step 3: Put all supplies into the one laundry basket.

Step 4: Email volunteers@waynemetro.org to arrange basket pick-up

• Call to arrange basket pickup.

QUALIFICATIONS: Able to raise or provide own funds to purchase party supplies.
