    Treasurer – Job Description

    Position: Treasurer of the Governing Board

    Status: Volunteer (Part-Time)

    Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per month

    Reports To: Board of Directors

    Term: Minimum 1-year commitment

    About Angelz Services :

    Angelz Services is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing beauty and wellness services to homebound elderly and disabled individuals across the United States. As a growing organization, Angelz Services is in its foundational stages and relies on strong governance to establish a lasting impact.

    Overview:

    The Treasurer of Angelz Services is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This individual will manage budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance while ensuring transparency, accuracy, and ethical stewardship of funds. The Treasurer will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to provide financial guidance, support fundraising efforts, and ensure the responsible use of donations and grants.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Oversight & Management

    • Maintain oversight of all financial transactions, ensuring funds are properly accounted for and allocated.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s budget in collaboration with the Board.
    • Ensure all financial operations comply with nonprofit regulations and best practices.
    • Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and financial reports for board meetings.
    • Assist in developing financial policies and procedures for fiscal responsibility.

    Reporting & Compliance

    • Prepare and present financial statements, budget updates, and cash flow projections for board meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state nonprofit financial reporting requirements.
    • Oversee tax filings, audits, and legal financial obligations in collaboration with accountants or auditors.
    • Provide financial transparency and accountability to donors, grantors, and stakeholders.

    Fundraising & Resource Management

    • Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop financial strategies for sustainability.
    • Track and manage donor contributions, sponsorship funds, and grant allocations.
    • Assist in identifying cost-effective methods for maximizing financial resources.

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Work closely with the Executive Director, President, and Board Members on financial matters.
    • Provide financial recommendations for strategic planning and organizational growth.
    • Assist in grant applications and financial reporting for funding opportunities.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, bookkeeping, or nonprofit finance.
    • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial management tools.
    • High level of integrity, honesty, and transparency in financial oversight.
    • Ability to provide a background check confirming no conflicts with Angelz Services’ mission or policies.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to Angelz Services’ faith-based mission and ethical financial stewardship.
    • Willingness to dedicate 10-15 hours per month to financial responsibilities.

    As someone raised in a non-denominational Christian environment, I want to emphasize that Angelz Services holds no issue with the diverse branches of Christianity. We value and respect various beliefs and practices that reflect a sincere love for God and others. However, I want to clarify that certain perspectives within some faiths view serving others and volunteering as a way to earn favor with God or secure salvation. While we respect that viewpoint, it does not align with the core mission and morals of Angelz Services.

    Our organization is founded on the belief that we serve others not as a means to benefit ourselves, but because God’s love compels us to do so. Our focus is solely on selfless service to those in need, with no personal gain or gratification. We strive to embody Christ’s love by serving others with humility and compassion, recognizing that our calling is rooted in His grace rather than any action we take to “earn” salvation.

    For board members and key leaders of Angelz Services, their commitment must be driven purely by a desire to serve others and honor God’s calling, without any intention of self-aggrandizement. With this in mind, I want to make sure there is clarity on this matter, as any conflicting motivations could pose challenges to our shared mission.
