Aurora Players, an acclaimed, not-for-profit, community theater in East Aurora with its beginnings in 1934, needs volunteers to help keep our organization running smoothly and to assist in bringing new productions to life onstage. Come play with us behind-the-scenes: building and painting sets; pulling props from our inventory; working on stage crew; costuming, producing, and more. During shows, there are opportunities to usher, volunteer in the box office, and learn to be a house manager. There are also small committees that meet once per month (sometimes less) and work on projects together and/or from home. Whether it's helping to plan our annual banquet or proofreading copy, no amount of time is too little!
With no paid staff, volunteers are the sole engine driving our continued success. We provide training and mentoring for new volunteers until they are comfortable in their role. No prior experience in theatre is necessary. Descriptions of volunteer opportunities can be found on our website, auroraplayers.org, by selecting the "Get Involved" tab on the main menu. All are welcome!
Now is a great time to start a new volunteer experience. You'll meet great people, make new friends and learn something new, all while bringing memorable, affordable theatre experiences to the Southtowns.
