Make a Difference in the Life of a Hospice Patient in Santa Clara County
Descripción
Descripción
Sutter Care at Home is seeking compassionate volunteers to support hospice patients in Santa Clara County. Many patients would enjoy friendly companionship or someone to sit with them while their family members run errands or take care of other responsibilities.
The greatest gift you can give as a hospice volunteer is your time, kindness, and willingness to listen.
Volunteering can be as simple as sitting with a patient, reading a book together, sharing a conversation, or running a quick errand for a patient or family member. No prior experience is necessary. Training and ongoing support are provided to all volunteers.
Becoming a hospice volunteer is a meaningful opportunity to share compassion, develop new skills, and make a positive difference during one of life's most important transitions. Volunteers help support the physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of hospice patients and their families.
Although volunteers do not provide clinical or personal care, they offer something equally valuable: a caring presence, a compassionate ear, and meaningful support for patients and their loved ones.
