Hospice Volunteer needed in Elgin

At Gentiva Hospice, we are all about providing support and care not only for our patients, but their loved ones too. Our Volunteers play a huge part in providing this support.

In Elgin we have a need for a Volunteer to visit with an elderly gentleman while his wife runs errands. You don't need to be a Veteran, but patient is and would enjoy visiting with another Veteran. After orientation, you will call the patient to make a schedule together of when you will visit.

Volunteers are "friendly visitors." Our Volunteers do not provide any direct medical care (bathing, dressing, feeding, transferring, giving medications). No previous experience needed. You just need a kind and compassionate heart!

Orientation is required and will be scheduled around your busy schedule..
