    Role Overview

    We are seeking a volunteer Engineering Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and technical projects for The Donovan’s Venom.

    This volunteer will work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure project milestones are met, workflows are optimized, and deliverables align with organizational goals. The Engineering Project Manager will maintain documentation, track progress, mitigate risks, and facilitate effective collaboration across our remote, interdisciplinary volunteer team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the planning and execution of engineering and technical projects.
    • Develop project timelines, milestones, and allocate resources efficiently.
    • Coordinate between engineers, designers, and other team members to clarify technical requirements.
    • Track tasks, dependencies, and progress using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
    • Identify risks, roadblocks, and workflow bottlenecks and propose solutions.
    • Ensure best practices for performance, maintainability, and quality are followed.
    • Facilitate regular team meetings, planning sessions, and progress reviews.
    • Support onboarding and mentorship of new volunteers for engineering or technical workflows.
    • Monitor quality assurance, testing, and implementation processes.
    • Document workflows, systems, and processes for team reference.

    Commitment: 15–20 hours per week

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience managing engineering, technical, or software projects.
    • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
    • Ability to coordinate and motivate a remote, volunteer-based team.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    • Passion for educational, artistic, or mission-driven projects is a plus.
