About the YMCA: The YMCA Cape Cod’s mission is to serve the Cape Cod community by providing programs rooted in caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Part-time, unpaid volunteer role. All training provided.

The YMCA Cape Cod Fundraising Coordinator role offers awesome experience and training in the field of fundraising and non-profit development for anyone early in their career or transitioning into the nonprofit sector. No experience necessary. All training will be provided. We welcome all candidates with an interest in helping the YMCA to expand its impact across programs such as Live Strong, summer camp access and more!

Role Description: As many of you know, the YMCA is a nonprofit. We provide amazing financial assistance to children and families across the Cape thanks to donors. Each fall, community campaigners come together to help us raise money so that all local children and families can grow and thrive.

• We are interested in talking to volunteers who can support our campaign for an hour a week this fall to raise funds to support financial assistance for our programming. If you raised money for a charity walk or run – the Y’s community campaign is a lot like that! Campaigners ask friends, family, business contacts, or community connections to join them in making a donation to the Y. Campaigners may also help to contact people who are already a part of the Y community to ask them to make or renew a donation.
• We provide excellent training and tools, starting out with a Kickoff breakfast on October 6th at 8:30am at the Lyndon P. Lorusso YMCA in Barnstable, MA. We will be there to support you all the way. You can do this work remotely or join one of our call groups to get extra support.

Our campaign volunteers love the YMCA, have used our programming themselves or witnessed the benefits within their own families and want to find ways to help.
