Descripción
Restore dignity to hospice patients suffering from dementia by helping to tell their life story when they are no longer able to themselves.
Using stories, pictures and biographical information gathered from families and loved ones, the designer will create a chart-a-life board that will help tell the life story of the patients. This visual display of meaningful information provides for sensory stimulation, distraction, and reminiscence for our patients, while allowing those around them to connect to the person within.
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that can be done from home or in our care center.
Hospice volunteer training provided.
