Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator

Just a heads up ---> This is a virtual role based in South Florida. While there's no official office, we do ask that you're available to participate in local events and stay connected with the community. Because of this, we're only considering applicants who are local to the South Florida area.

Just Add Creative, a Lake Worth Beach-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking a Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to help bring our fundraising efforts to life and sustain our mission: distributing free craft kits and creative resources to underserved communities.

This is a public-facing, hands-on volunteer role-ideal for someone who enjoys community engagement, has strong people skills, and wants to make a tangible difference through the arts.

What You’ll Do

• Help plan and execute 1-2 fundraising events per quarter (e.g., craft kit drives, community tabling, pop-up booths)
• Work in collaboration with board leadership to carry out events-we’ll help shape the vision, and you’ll help make it happen
• Act as the point person during events-soliciting donations, promoting our mission, and engaging the public
• Oversee and support event-day volunteers, ensuring everyone knows how to represent Just Add Creative
• Be a visible, mission-driven representative of the organization at local outreach opportunities

Time Commitment

• 8-12 hours/month on average, depending on the campaign cycle
• Must be available for occasional weekends or evenings to support in-person events

Training & Expectations

• Must complete a short training on Just Add Creative’s mission, impact, and elevator pitch
• Must be confident speaking about our work and comfortable asking for donations
• Must attend an interview with the VP of Development and the President
• Must be responsive, organized, and able to follow through on assigned tasks

You’re a Great Fit If You

• Have strong people skills and enjoy engaging with the public
• Are comfortable being "on" at events-greeting visitors, sharing our story, and making donation asks
• Are dependable and can manage event logistics with guidance from the board
• Have experience with tabling, fundraising, retail, or community outreach (preferred, not required)
• Believe in the power of arts, equity, and community connection

Community Connection

You’ll be invited to attend quarterly board meetings as a non-voting guest to stay looped in on our goals and impact. You’ll also be welcome to participate in creative volunteer sessions and local arts events.

This is a volunteer position. However, someone who shows initiative, consistency, and leadership may have the opportunity to grow into a Fundraising Director board seat in the future.
