Volunteer Gift Officer

The Galatians Homeless Ministry, a Christian non-profit organization looking for active committee members to help grow our organization. Our mission is to not only create interim services through our Mobile Hygiene Bus but to also create a housing community equipped with Pallet® Shelters and additional resources to support homeless individuals and families.

We are seeking a Volunteer Gift Officer to help us secure funding to launch our programs for homeless individuals and families.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and cultivate relationships with new gift prospects.
• Develop and implement personalized stewardship plans for major donors.
• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
• Coordinate major gift solicitations.
• Collaborate and serve with the fundraising/development committee to help develop strategic fundraising initiatives and contribute to the overall fundraising plan
• Engage in regular donor outreach, including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in fundraising.

What We're Looking For:

• Years of experience in gift fundraising, sales, or a related field.
• Proven track record of securing new gifts
• Strong understanding of philanthropic trends and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with donors
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and fundraising goals.
