Spring/Summer Yard Chores for Seniors (Hennepin County)

Enjoy some fresh air and sunshine while helping older adults maintain "curb appeal" and keep their homes and property safe! Help with:

• Yard and garden clean-up, weeding
• Basic exterior maintenance and small painting projects

Go solo or bond with family, friends and neighbors

Youth ages 7 to 15 may volunteer with an adult. Ages 16 and older may volunteer on their own.

Strengthen connections with your group

Most group opportunities are best suited for teams of 4 - 6. If you have a larger group we'll split you into smaller teams and assign you to locations near one another to serve multiple seniors.

• Schools (elementary to college/university level) and home school groups
• Neighborhood associations and public services (police, fire, city council members, etc.)
• Lions and Rotary Clubs; American Legion Posts
• Faith communities
• Sororities and fraternities
• Scout troops & youth groups
• Corporations/businesses
• Sports teams

We serve multiple cities throughout Hennepin County. Contact us or visit seniorcommunity.org/volunteer to complete an online application form.

Volunteers are also needed to provide ongoing, seasonal lawn mowing and weed trimming.
