Inventory Volunteer

Maintain a organized, accurate, and clean inventory area. This position supports our mission by ensuring donated and purchased food is properly received, counted, stored, rotated, and prepared for distribution to families and seniors in our community.

Responsiblities:

*receive, sort, and count incoming food and toiletry donations.

*Record inventory accurately using the pantry's tracking styste.

*Organize products by category and assigned storage location.

*Check expiration dates and inspect items for damage, contamination, or spoilage.

*Rotate inventory using the frist-in, first-out method.

*Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items.

*Keep shelves, refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.

*Assist with stocking shelves and preparing food for distribution.

*Notify pantry leadership of damaged, expired, recalled, or unsafe products.

*Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and confidentiality requirements.

*Assist with periodic inventory counts and other pantry duties as neeeded.
