Food Rescuer - Basking Ridge/Somerset County, NJ to Franklin Township/Somerset County, NJ

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.

The volunteer role would involve:

• Picking up meals from

Pingry Basking Ridge, and

• Delivering these meals to

Zarephath Church, Franklin Township.

We are specifically looking for volunteers able to transport this food at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons.

Each volunteer task should take approximately one hour including travel time between donor and recipient. We require volunteers to drive their own car. While we welcome regular participation, we will work with your schedule (volunteer as you wish policy). Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations.
