Descripción
Volunteers are needed to assist with fishing activities, including:
- Assisting participant with baiting the fishing hook.
- Coaching and encouraging the participant.
- Working under the direction of staff.
- Helping with catch and release.
Requirements:
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must enjoy fishing and have the ability to work successfully with a variety of various groups.
- Must be able to instruct with casting, and stream etiquette/environmentally sound practices.
- Must be able to sit/stand for a full 4-6 hour shift.
- Experience fishing and teaching fishing is helpful but not mandatory.

Once the application is submitted, Volunteer Services staff will contact you for a phone interview to discuss your placement and to go over the required volunteer materials that will need to be completed before your first volunteer date. Criminal background checks are mandatory for all Lake Metroparks volunteers 18 years of age or older.
